A: Spring Sale: April 16- 18, 2010
The large Friends Book Sales are held each April and September.
The Fall Book Sale is September 24- 26, 2010.
Book Sale hours:
Friday, April 16: Member preview sale, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 17 : 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday, April 18: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Please bring your own boxes or bags to the book sale.
Q: Where is the Book Sale? A: The Book Sale is held in Building #30 at Warren G. Magnuson Park, Seattle.
Warren G. Magnuson Park is located at 7400 Sand Point Way N.E., just northeast of the University of Washington. The park may be reached by Metro buses #30and #75 and it also has excellent free parking facilities. Map
Q: What is The Friends members preview sale? A: Members of The Friends of The Seattle Public Library may purchase items at the members preview sale which is held Friday evening, before the event opens to the general public on Saturday and Sunday.
The preview sale is for Friends members only. An annual membership may be purchased in advance for $15. Memberships may be purchased at the door of the preview sale for $30.
Each member may buy as many as 25 items at the preview sale.
Q: What is the Book Sale Auction?A: A number of rare and unusual books will be offered in a Friends silent auction during the member preview sale. .
Members may bid in the silent auction held at the preview sale on Friday night. Auction items do not count toward the 25-item limit of the preview sale.
Q: How to volunteer at the Book Sales
A: Volunteers are always welcome and needed at Book Sales. You may call the Book Sale office at 206-523-4053 or e-mail us at book.sale@spl.org if you are interested in volunteering. The Book Sale office is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
