The Friends of The Seattle Public Library Book Sale
Fall Book Sale: September 24-26, 2010
The Friends holds two major book sales every year, in Spring and Fall. At each sale, over 200,000 books and other items are offered to the general public. Proceeds go to benefit The Seattle Public Library.
Friday, Sept. 24, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m
Member Preview -- members may buy up to 25 items each.
Saturday, Sept. 25, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 26, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
NEW THIS YEAR! Audio Visual materials (videos, CDs and audio books) in The Brig, directly east of Hangar 30.
Location: Magnuson Park, Hangar in Building #30, 7400 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, 98115.
The park may be reached by Metro bus routes 30, 74, and 75. Free parking is available.
Member Preview Sale
Friends memberships and renewals are $30 at the door of the Friday night Member Preview Sale. To renew or purchase in advance (by September 10th) for $15 visit our membership page.
Book Sale Guidelines (updated for 2010):
Please familiarize yourself with our book sale guidelines to ensure the sale is a safe and enjoyable experience.
Items for sale include:
Art prints and posters
Nonfiction books organized by category
Huge selection of hardcover and paperback fiction
Audio books, music CDs, and movies on VHS and DVD
Large "Better Books" section
Rare, collectible, and sets room
Prices: All items in the regular section are $1.00 each, except art prints, which are priced as marked. Books in the "Better Books" section are priced as marked.
Silent Auction at Member Preview Sale:
Members may bid in the silent auction held at the preview sale on Friday night. Auction items do not count toward the 25-item limit.
